  1. Day 1 Cardiff Arrival

    Today make your way to the Welsh Capital City where your tour begins; Cardiff is just over two hours from London by rail (please ask our agents if you require rail tickets for that journey). After dropping your bags at your central hotel you may chose to relax or get out and explore the city - well worth a visit are the beautiful Cardiff Castle and the Cardiff Bay area of fashionable waterside bars and eateries. By evening, we'll get to know one another over a delicious welcome dinner at the hotel.

  2. Day 2 Caerphilly Castle and The Brecon Beacons

    This morning we’ll set off in search of the Wales of old. Venturing through the dramatic Welsh Valleys to Brecon Beacons National Park, we'll stop at the 13th-century Caerphilly Castle along the way. The medieval fortification with a Leaning Tower and a truly great fortresses looks spectacular on the photos. We may even have time to delve into Welsh mining heritage at the Big Pit National Coal Museum (subject to factors). This evening, another delicious group dinner awaits us at our hotel, this time in the picturesque Usk Valley.

  3. Day 3 Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and North Wales

    Today we continue north through the Brecon Beacons and in to the Wales Border Marches. We pause near Llangollen for views of the UNESCO World Heritage site at the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct; an awe-inspiring site it is the longest and highest structure of its kind in Britain and carries canal boats 100 feet above the valley floor. As we pass North through the mountainous landscapes, we’ll stop to enjoy an Afternoon Tea in one of this little nation’s most scenic spots, before we retire to our hotel in the Conwy region.

  4. Day 4 Llanberis Slate Mine and Welsh Language

    This morning we'll stop for a photo at special village with the longest place name in the world! Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch. Then onwards to the slate mine at Llanberis, where you can stroll around the museum, learn the art of slate splitting and how this abundant resource is mined. By afternoon we continue to the beautiful and remote Lleyn Peninsula which is a stronghold of traditional Welsh culture and heritage; at the Nant Gwrtheyrn Heritage Centre we enjoy a short talk on the ancient Welsh language and have the chance to learn a few words of this notoriously difficult language. Your evening is free to enjoy at your leisure in one of Llandudno's many cosy pubs and cafes.

  5. Day 5 Llandudno and Conwy at leisure

    Today you have a day at leisure in Llandudno. You may choose to ride a cable car up the Great Orme headland or simply take a stroll along the elegant Victorian promenade and shopping arcades. A short distance away is the contrasting medieval market town of Conwy. Using public transport, you can reach the town and explore its 13th century fortress, city walls and visit Britain's smallest house in the docks. You will have a chance to share your day adventures over an included dinner.

  6. Day 6 Portmeirion, Snowdonia and Steam Train Experience

    We’ll begin our day in Italian style this morning as we head to picturesque Portmeirion. Designed in the 1920s to replicate an Italian village, its quirky pastel-hued houses, classical mansions and maze-like gardens are straight from the pages of a storybook. After, we'll aboard a steam train for a ride through hills and forests of the Snowdonia National Park. Gaze upon the green pastures, glittering lakes, magnificent forests and rushing waterfalls of the National Park. We then head to West Wales for an evening at leisure in hidden from the world hotel at the top of the Teifi Valley.

  7. Day 7 Tenby and Pembrokeshire

    This morning we’ll explore the seaside fishing village of Tenby. This gorgeous and colourful little town will charm you with its medieval atmosphere, quirky shops and of course the beautiful beaches. Upon returning to Pembrokeshire, we'll be sure to take in some more of those famous dramatic coastlines and enjoy some leisure time before we don our best outfits for tonight's final group dinner. Here's to an incredible journey!

  8. Day 8 St Fagans and return to Cardiff

    This morning we enjoy a leisurely breakfast before passing along Wales' South coast towards the National History Museum of Wales at St. Fagans. This unique living museum offers an insight of Wales and Welsh heritage throughout the ages from its Celtic origins right through to the industrial revolution. Our journey ends in Cardiff where we bid farewell to the group. If you require rail tickets back to London, please ask our agents for more information.

All tours commence at your central Cardiff Hotel in the evening of day one and finish in central Cardiff at around 5.30pm (approx) on the End Day.
