  2. Day 2 St Fagans, Caerphilly Castle and the Brecon Beacons

This morning we we’ll set off in search of the Wales of old. Our first stop is the National History Museum of Wales at St. Fagans, a unique living museum which offers an insight of Wales and Welsh heritage throughout the ages from its Celtic origins right through to the industrial revolution. Continuing our journey, we’ll venture through the dramatic Welsh Valleys to Brecon Beacons National Park, stopping at the 13th-century Caerphilly Castle along the way. Returning along the very scenic back roads, we make our way back to Crickhowell. This evening, another delicious group dinner awaits us at our hotel.

    Meals: Breakfast and dinner included.

  3. Day 3 Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and North Wales

Today we continue north through the Brecon Beacons and in to the Wales border Marches. We pause near Llangollen for views of the UNESCO World Heritage site at the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct; an awe-inspiring site it is the longest and highest structure of its kind in Britain and carries canal boats 100 feet above the valley floor. As we pass North through the mountainous landscapes, we’ll stop to enjoy an afternoon tea in one of this little nation’s most scenic spots before we retire to our hotel in the Conwy region.

Overnight: St Georges Hotel (or similar), Llandudno

    Meals: Breakfast included.

  4. Day 4 Conwy and Llandudno at Leisure

Today you have a day at leisure in Llandudno. You may choose to ride a cable car up the Great Orme headland or simply take a stroll along the elegant Victorian promenade and shopping arcades. A short distance away is the contrasting medieval market town of Conwy where you can explore the 13th century fortress and city walls and visit Britain's smallest house in the docks. Your evening is free to enjoy at your leisure in one of Llandudno's many cosy pubs and cafes.

    Meals: Breakfast included.

  5. Day 5 Llanberis Slate Mine and Welsh Language

No before visiting the village with the longest place name in Europe: Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch! By afternoon we continue to the beautiful and remote Lleyn Peninsula which is a stronghold of traditional Welsh culture and heritage; at the Nant Gwrtheyrn Heritage Centre we enjoy a short talk on the ancient Welsh language and have the chance to learn a few words of this notoriously difficult language.

Overnight: Hotel Portmeirion (or similar), Portmeirion

    Meals: Breakfast and dinner included.

  6. Day 6 Snowdonia and Steam Train Experience

Today it's all aboard as we enjoy a steam train ride through hills and forests of the Snowdonia National Park. 7. Day 7 Tenby and Pembrokeshire

This morning we’ll explore the seaside fishing village of Tenby. This gorgeous little town will charm you with its medieval atmosphere, quirky shops and of course the beautiful beaches. Upon returning to Pembrokeshire, we'll be sure to take in some more of those famous dramatic coastlines and enjoy some leisure time before we don our best outfits for tonight's final group dinner. Here's to an incredible journey!
