  1. Day 1 St Andrews and Royal Deeside

    This morning we depart Edinburgh and head North crossing the Firth of Forth to visit the famous town of St Andrews. We’ll see the University where a young Prince William and Kate Middleton first met, and you'll enjoy free time to stroll around the compact city and see the famous golf course. Later, we continue to Loch Muick in Ballater – the picnic site of Queen Victoria and a site where our Royals still frequent. In the evening, we sit down together for a warming welcome dinner before retiring for the evening.

  2. Day 2 Balmoral or Braemar Castle and Scotch Whisky

    Today get ready for real Scottish castles and scenerey. Our first visit is Balmoral Castle (subject to opening), the summer residence of the Queen Elizabeth II herself. Gain views of the nearby Crathie Church where the Royals still attend services when in residence at Balmoral. If the Queen is in residence at Balmoral then we'll head instead to the striking Braemar Castle to take in its unique architecture. By afternoon, we take a walk around the site of the traditional Highland Games before making our way to Lochnagar Distillery, where you can sample a wee dram of whisky if you wish before enjoying an evening at leisure.

  3. Day 3 The Royal Yacht Britannia

    Today, after a hearty full Scottish breakfast, we return through mountain passes to Edinburgh. Our regal visit today is the majestic Royal Yacht Britannia in Leith docks – this elegant boat was used by the Royal family until it was de-commissioned in 1997; discover what life was like on board Her Majesty’s floating Royal residence and trace the footsteps of world leaders such as Sir Winston Churchill and Nelson Mandela. Later we proceed to our elegant country house hotel.

  4. Day 4 Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Palace

    Today we head back in to Edinburgh to tour of the famous Castle perched over the city. After discovering the Great Hall, the crown jewels and the Stone of Destiny, we’ll stretch our legs with a walk along the Royal Mile. At the end of the thoroughfare stands Holyrood Palace, the official Scottish residence of Queen Elizabeth II – so it’s only right that we take a look around before we retire to the hotel for the evening.

  5. Day 5 Rail Journey South to Norfolk

    Today it’s all aboard the train as are whisked south by rail; our ride takes through the rolling hills of the Scottish Lowlands and accross the Yorkshire countryside before arriving in Peterborough. We may have time for a pit-stop in the historic market town of King's Lynn to see the elegant merchant's houses and historic port before retiring to our hotel. By evening we’ll enjoy an included dinner together.

  6. Day 6 Sandringham Estate and Cambridge

    This morning we make our way to the grandiose Sandringham Estate; this elegant English Manor stands in 20,000-acre grounds and is the private home of Queen Elizabeth II where she spends Christmas each year and is the location of passing of her father, King George V. By afternoon we head for historic Cambridge for a walking tour of this medieval university city; we'll spot renowned sites such as the Bridge of Sighs and the ‘Backs’ of Cambridge University as we go. By evening we arrive in London.

  7. Day 7 Royal Palaces of London

    A trip to England wouldn’t be complete without a day sightseeing in the magnificent capital city of London. We’ll take in a wealth locations with connections to the World’s most famous monarchy; we start at the gates of Buckingham Palace, before passing by St. James’s Palace, Clarence House. Then, we'll visit Hyde Park to see the Albert Memorial and the unique Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain before heading to the magnificent Kensington Palace (the official residence of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge). In the evening, we meet for our farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

  8. Day 8 Windsor Castle and Hampton Court Palace

    Before we say goodbye, we have one final tour of two sites located to the West of this great city. First stop is the world’s largest inhabited castle at Windsor Castle, the Queen’s favoured residence. Later we explore the grandiose Hampton Court Palace, which has historic ties dating back to King Henry the VIII. Your tour ends in central London this evening – ask if you require onward rail travel to other destinations throughout Britain or transport back to your airport with a final night accommodation.

This tour starts in central Edinburgh at 8.30am on the Start Day and ends in central London at around 5.30pm (approx) on the final day.
