  1. Day 1 Oxford, the Cotswolds and Bath

    At 8:00 am, meet your Travel Director in central London and begin your British journey! Firstly, we enjoy a scenic drive to the most famous University City in the world, Oxford. Picture poets, professors, politicians, scientists and sporting heroes who studied here as we stroll Oxford’s historic streets and elegant sandstone architecture. We then swap the city for the quintessential English countryside as we traverse the gentle, patchwork hills of the Cotswolds; we’ll pause in one or more of the archetypal honey-coloured Cotswold villages such as Bourton-on-the-Water or Stow-on-the-Wold. We then continue the UNESCO World Heritage city of Bath where we enjoy an orientation tour before checking in at our central accommodation settling down for a traditional British dinner with our fellow travel companions. Enjoy this first opportunity to get to know each other over food and drink ahead of our first day exploring Britain.

  2. Day 2 Bath City and the Roman Baths

    This morning enjoy a relaxed start before we head out to explore Bath. Listed as a World Heritage Site, Bath is truly one of Europe’s most attractive cities, filled with Georgian and Victorian architecture. Our morning stroll will take us to the stunningly restored Roman Baths. With large parts of the original pump and bathing rooms preserved, the site remains intact and offers a truly unique insight in to an ancient history. In the afternoon, choose between learning about the life of English author of "Pride and Prejudice", Jane Austen or spend the rest of your day at leisure, walking the cobbled streets of this opulent city and perhaps venturing into some of its independent boutiques and eateries.

  3. Day 3 The Brecon Beacons National Park and Welsh Countryside

    Today, we cross the border from England to Wales where we can absorb the beautiful scenery of the Brecon Beacons National Park; a series of mountain ranges and uplands which offer an understated natural beauty. With rich wildlife hiding in red sandstone cliffs, choose between a gentle hike with a park ranger to search for some of Brecon Beacons’ flora and fauna (perhaps you will spot an otter in its natural habitat?) ; or alternatively, learn about them over a lecture with Park’s naturalist guide. After the morning activities, dig in to the hearty Farm-to-Table pub lunch, where a delicious seasonal menu with local ingredients will be available. In the afternoon, you’ll arrive in Cardiff, the Welsh Capital. Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure, before tomorrow’s tour in this vibrant city.

  4. Day 4 Cardiff, the Capital of Wales

    After a relaxing start, we join our Travel Director for an orientation tour of the city. We’ll the highlights of this elegant city from the Principality Stadium, home of Rugby, Wales’ national sport to the nearby Cardiff Castle a feast for the eyes with an elegant tower and gargoyles of exotic animals on the castle walls. The rest of the day is yours to spend at leisure. Perhaps visit the castle itself to tour the Gothic Victorian mansion within its ramparts or wander through the streets of old Cardiff and its Victorian covered market and shopping arcades. By evening why not make your way to the rejuvenated Cardiff Bay area home to a collection of waterside shops, bar and restaurants.

  5. Day 5 Glastonbury, Bideford and Dartmoor

    We begin our day after breakfast by heading back to England. Here, we stop at Glastonbury Abbey; the ruins of 7th century monastery which has connections with Arthurian myth. After a visit, we travel south through a beautiful Exmoor National Park; a vast land of rough hills and moorlands. Enjoying the scenic drive in the afternoon, we head to historic port town of Bideford. This small charming spot has been a filming location for 2018 movie "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society"; perhaps you will be able to recognise some of the places? Then onwards to the rolling valleys of Dartmoor National Park and Bovey Castle, our accommodation for the next two nights. Bovey is a magnificent historic building set on a 300 acre estate with a golf course, a spa and an award-winning restaurant. This evening, join your Travel Director and fellow travellers for an included dinner at the hotel. Cheers to another day!

  6. Day 6 Plymouth Harbour and Looe

    After enjoying breakfast over beautiful views at Bovey Castle, we’ll head to the seafaring town of Plymouth where you’ll enjoy free-time to explore the historic port and see the Mayflower steps from where the Pilgrim Fathers set sail to America. Here, you will have the option of taking a cruise around the harbour accompanied by the captain’s stories about Plymouth’s history and marine views of Plymouth Hoe. In the afternoon, we’ll head to the coastal town of Looe. With its aquamarine waters and sandy beach, Looe was once a fishing and trading port. Walk around its narrow cobbled streets during your free time and perhaps try some of the famous Cornish pasties. Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure back in Bovey Castle.

  7. Day 7 Tintagel, Port Isaac and Padstow

    We’ll start the day with a scenic drive in the Cornish countryside as we head to Tintagel and its 13th century Castle. Steeped in ancient myths and legends of King Arthur, Merlin and the famous Knights of the Round Table, the forsaken ruins of Tintagel Castle lies in a stunning location, stretching across the northern coastline between a stark cliff and a rocky outcrop smashed by the ocean – the island is accessible only by bridge. After a visit, we head to Port Isaac for an orientation tour. You may recognise this quintessential Cornish fishing town as Port Wen from the popular TV show "Doc Martin". Later, we move on to Padstow. Perhaps try traditional fish ‘n’ chips before taking a stroll around the scenic harbour town. Last drive of the day will get us to the hotel nestled in the Cornish countryside, which will be our base for the next two nights.

  8. Day 8 Penzance, St Ives and Land’s End

    After breakfast, we’ll start exploring furthest parts of the Cornish Peninsula. First, is a trip to Penzance; once known for being overrun by pirates, which was an inspiration for W.S. Gilbert and A. Sullivan’s comic opera "The Pirates of Penzance", the town is now a peaceful seaside resort. After a stroll there, we head to St Ives. Thought by many to be England’s version of French St Tropez, this beautiful place is a haven for budding artists and art-lovers alike. Walk along the sweeping bay, relax on one of the golden beaches or discover art at one of only two Tate galleries outside of London. Our final stop today will be at Land’s End; the most Westerly point of Britain where nothing but ocean separates you from the Americas. Enjoy your evening back at our Cornish hotel.

  9. Day 9 English Country Estate and Traditional High Tea

    Today, we head back over the county border to Devon countryside where we’ll visit a quintessential English manor house and learn about its history. After informative commentary, we’ll join the owner for a truly Devonshire high tea with freshly baked scones covered with seasonal fruits from manor’s garden, and of course, cream and jam (or jam and cream – there is no right here). After a lovely feast, we’ll move to the beautiful Summer Lodge Country House Hotel and Spa – our base for the last two nights of British journey. Here you’ll enjoy time to relax at this five-star boutique hotel, an elegant and luxurious countryside idyll surrounded by the rolling hills of Evershot. This picturesque area was an inspiration for a storybook setting of the fictional Evershed from the novel "Wessex" by Thomas Hardy. Here you can relax or enjoy one or more of the plethora of activities available in the hotel, such as horse riding, falconry or shooting, before joining the rest of the group for an included dinner.

  10. Day 10 Mapperton House and Montacute House

    Continuing our adventure with Britain’s finest stately homes, we’ll head to Mapperton House and Gardens. Used as a filming set in 2015’s adaptation of Thomas Hardy’s novel "Far From the Madding Crowd", this Jacobean manor is truly impressive. Owned by Lord and Lady of Sandwich, whose ancestor the 4th Earl of Sandwich John Montagu actually invented the convenience food itself(!). After that, we’ll move to Elizabethan Montacute House. Belonging to National Trust, the manor include Britain’s longest Long Gallery, still displaying a range of portraits and paintings with a partnership of National Portrait Gallery. Surrounded acres of beautiful gardens, the picturesque environment of the house was shown in few films, including Jane Austen’s adaptation of "Sense and Sensibility" from 1995 and H. Mantel's "Wolf Hall". In the evening, it is time to toast to your travels with your fellow travellers at your hotel over a Celebration Dinner. The last voyage continues tomorrow.

  11. Day 11 Stonehenge, Selborne and London Farewell!

    Our last day begins with a scenic drive through English countryside as we make our way to famous Stonehenge. This magnificent prehistoric site dating back to 3000 BC is standing on the Salisbury Plain in the picturesque Wiltshire countryside. Take a photo and discover more facts about the icon filled with mystery that keeps scientists and experts in constant wonder about its true meaning, before changing the location to charming Hampshire village of Selborne. Here, we visit a Selborne Pottery and its owner Robert Goldsmith, who has been hand making and painting his pottery for nearly 40 years, to learn about the process of ceramics over a demonstration. By afternoon, it is time to head back to London, where our tours end.
