  1. Day 1 Imperial War Museum and Cambridge

    Your tour begins in London with a visit to the renowned Imperial War Museum where you'll discover compelling and thought-provoking exhibitions dedicated to remembering two World Wars. Then, departing London, our journey takes us North to the remarkable university town of Cambridge to enjoy a walking tour over cobbled streets glimpsing the famous medieval colleges. After a rich day of sightseeing, we meet again for dinner to together at our hotel.

  2. Day 2 American Air Museum and Dragon Rapide Flight

    Today we pay our respects to fallen veterans by visiting the American Cemetery and Memorial in Coton. We then head for the nearby IWM American Air Muiseum in Duxford where we explore how Britain’s air defences progressed throughout the War and study how the RAF defended Britain’s skies during key World War Two battles. After observing dramatic displays of original aircrafts we enjoy a true highlight as we take to the skies ourselves on a flight in a fully restored Dragon Rapide plane high over Cambridge. Finally, we head to Petwood Hall, home to the legendary Dambusters.

  3. Day 3 RAF Coningsby, Aviation Heritage Centre and Thorp Camp

    Today witness a truly stunning spectacle at RAF Coningsby aircraft station where we tour the Battle of Britain visitor centre to see the historic aircraft up close. We then continue to East Kirkby Aviation Heritage Centre - home of the legendary Lancaster Bomber, introduced in 1942. By the afternoon, we stop at the Thorp Camp Visitor Centre, home of the 627 Squadron that flew out of Woodhall Spa as well as the famous Dambuster squadrons. In the evening, we head to a local restaurant for dinner.

  4. Day 4 The Red Arrows, Chadwick Centre and Lincoln

    History buffs, rejoice! Today, we visit the RAF Scampton the base of the famous Red Arrows. We’ll visit the interesting Heritage Centre before travelling to the Memorial Spire and the Wall of Names, as well as the Chadwick Centre which, with the help of state-of-the-art technology and interactive displays, tells the story of the Bomber Command. Later, we visit historic Lincoln with its famous Cathedral and Castle before we tuck into dinner at the hotel.

  5. Day 5 RAF Cosford and National Memorial Arboretum

    On day five, we travel West across England to RAF Cosford. Here, we take a look at the original bombers before continuing to the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. This expansive woodland area honours those fallen during their service to Britain. By afternoon, we depart for Leamington Spa where you'll have some free time before enjoying an evening meal together.

  6. Day 6 Bletchley Park, Swiss Garden and Shuttleworth Collection

    Today, we uncover a hidden gem of England, Bletchley Park. This charming historic house was once the central site for British codebreakers during the Second World War, and where British hero Alan Turing famously broke the enigma code. Books and films have been set around this intriguing location which was the birthplace of modern information technology. After lunch, we visit the Swiss Garden and the Shuttleworth Collection at Brooklands - one of the most prestigious in the world, before heading to the cathedral city of Winchester and our overnight hotel.

  7. Day 7 Winchester Cathedral and Free-Time

    This morning we take a tour of the awe-inspiring Winchester Cathedral to learn about its 1000 yrs of history before enjoying a day of free-time to explore this elegant city at your leisure. Discover a host of historic sites such as the 13th century Great Hall, with connections to Arthurian mythology, and the medieval Winchester College or simply relax in one of the many eateries and restaurants of the city.

  8. Day 8 Bovington Tank Museum and D-Day Museum

    Today we’ll learn the history of armoured fighting vehicles of the last 100 years on a guided tour of Bovington Tank Museum. Then onwards to Portsmouth to the D-Day Story exhibition; here we learn about this momentous event through stunning audio-visual presentations and we'll have the privilege of meeting an RAF veteran and hearing his personal wartime stories. Tonight, a farewell dinner is in order.

  9. Day 9 Tangmere Airfield and Spitfires at Biggin Hill

    This morning we ake our way to the Military Aviation Museum at the Tangmere Airfield which hosts one of the UK’s leading aviation museums - dare you ride in the aircraft simulator experience. Our final stop at the Biggin Hill Hangar allows us to see the remarkable restored Spitfire Aircraft, a fitting end to our intriguing tour of England’s wartime history. We continue to London where our tour ends.
