  1. Day 1 Arrival, London City and St Paul's Cathedral

    Arriving in to a London airport (Gatwick or Heathrow), make your way in to central London. Your tour begins in the afternoon when you meet your tour director at 2pm at your central London hotel. Together you'll embark on an introductory jaunt around the city of London to see some of the English capital's major sights and attractions. We pause at the glorious St. Paul's Cathedral with its iconic dome and tour the awe-inspiring interior including the crypt, stunning frescoes and the whispering gallery. By evening join your tour director for a welcome drink followed by dinner at your hotel.

  2. Day 2 Open-Top Bus Tour and London Palaces

    Today you'll enjoy a day exploring London at your own pace. Tickets in hand you can see the city on a traditional open-top bus tour with multiple routes and stops located throughout the city. See the highlights including the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square and more. Also included is a complimentary walking tour and a cruise on the River Thames. Then enjoy a visit to a spectacular Royal Palace either at Kensington Palace, once home of Princess Diana or the Tower of London where you can see Beefeaters on guard and the stunning Crown Jewels. Your evening is free to dine independently.

  3. Day 3 The Cotswolds, Stratford-upon-Avon and the Beatles' Liverpool

    Departing London, we enjoy a scenic drive through the patchwork fields and honey-coloured villages of the Cotswolds. Arriving in Stratford-upon-Avon we enjoy a panoramic tour around this picturesque medieval town of timberwork buildings to see places associated with it most famous former resident, the great bard himself, William Shakespeare. Then we continue to Liverpool where we discover the history of another British icon; arguably almost as well-known as Shakespeare but from an entirely different era, we discover the history of the Beatles. We meet with a local guide for a tour of the city to view a host of sites relating to the "Fab Four".

  4. Day 4 The Lake District and Scottish Evening

    Continuing north, we travel through the glorious English Lake District to enjoy spectacular scenery which has inspired authors, poets and painters alike; we stop in the charming village of Grasmere to visit William Wordsworth's home, Dove Cottage. Crossing the border in to Scotland we visit the Old Blacksmith's Shop in Gretna Green, once the spot where eloping couples married, today you can pick-up quality gifts and souvenirs. Passing through the Scottish Lowlands we make our way to Edinburgh and enjoy a Scottish evening with traditional food, music and dance.

  5. Day 5 Edinburgh Castle and City Tour

    Today we make our way in to Edinburgh to tour the city; we discover the Scottish capital touring from the stunning 200-year-old Georgian "New Town" with its elegant, avenues, squares and town houses to the contrasting medieval old town of bustling cobbled lanes and stacked houses. We'll make our way up the renowned Royal Miles to the magnificent Edinburgh Castle where we enjoy a tour to see the Crown Jewels of Scotland and mysterious Stone of Destiny. Your afternoon is free to explore independently. On August 4 to 18 departures, experience the world-famous Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

  6. Day 6 St Andrews and the Scottish Highlands

    Today we head East in to Fife to the charming Scottish town of St Andrews, famous as the world's home of golf and home of Scotland's oldest university. We enjoy a walking tour around the town to her about the town's notable characters and events before visiting the picturesque ruins of St Andrews Cathedral. Then heading north, we pass through the stunning scenery of the Cairngorm mountains through the Victorian town of Pitlochry on route to Inverness, renowned capital of the Highlands, and check-in at our riverside hotel in the heart of the city.

  7. Day 7 Loch Ness and Loch Lomond Cruise

    Returning South, we enjoy a day exploring the misty lochs of the Scottish Highlands; firstly, we pass through the Great Glen and along the shores of Loch Ness where you can keep an eye out for the famous "Nessie". Later we pass in the shadow of Ben Nevis, Britain's highest peak before driving through Glen Coe, site of the infamous clan massacre of 1692. By afternoon we take a scenic cruise on Loch Lomond, Britain's largest lake, to admire panoramic highland views. Arriving in Scotland's largest city, we enjoy a short orientation tour of Glasgow before checking in to our hotel.

  8. Day 8 Tour Ends in Glasgow

    Your tour ends this morning in Glasgow after taking a leisurely breakfast at your hotel. You may choose to travel the short distance back to Glasgow International Airport for a return flight to your home nation or alternatively you can continue to explore the magnificent city of Glasgow independently. Other options include onward travel to Edinburgh, within Scotland or back to London.
