  1. Day 1 Churchill War Rooms and Cambridge

    Your tour begins in London with a visit to the Churchill Museum and War Cabinet Rooms, set deep beneath the streets of Westminster where world-changing decisions were made by arguably Britain’s most famous Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. Departing London, our journey takes us North to the remarkable university town of Cambridge to enjoy a walking tour over cobbled streets glimpsing the famous medieval colleges. After a rich day of sightseeing, we meet again for dinner to together at our hotel.

  2. Day 2 American Air Museum and Dragon Rapide Flight

    Today we pay our respects to fallen veterans by visiting the American Cemetery and Memorial in Coton. We then head for the nearby Imperial War Museum in Duxford where we explore how Britain’s air defences progressed throughout the War and study how the RAF defended Britain’s skies during key World War Two battles. Later, we continue to the American Air Museum and observe dramatic displays of original aircrafts. The highlight of the day will create memories to last a lifetime as we take to the skies ourselves with an included flight in a Dragon Rapide high over Cambridge. Finally, we head to Petwood Hall, home to the legendary Dambusters.

  3. Day 3 RAF Coningsby, Aviation Heritage Centre and Thorp Camp

    Today witness a truly stunning spectacle at RAF Coningsby aircraft station where we tour the Battle of Britain visitor centre to see the historic aircraft up close. We then continue to East Kirkby Aviation Heritage Centre - home of the legendary Lancaster Bomber, introduced in 1942. By the afternoon, we stop at the Thorp Camp Visitor Centre, home of the 627 Squadron that flew out of Woodhall Spa as well as the famous Dambuster squadrons. In the evening, we head to a local restaurant for dinner.

  4. Day 4 The Red Arrows and Chadwick Centre

    History buffs, rejoice! Today, we visit the RAF Scampton, the base of the famous Red Arrows famed for their formation flying. We’ll visit the interesting Heritage Centre before travelling to the Memorial Spire and the Wall of Names, as well as the Chadwick Centre which brings to life experiences of those who lived through the war; with the help of state-of-the-art technology and interactive displays we’ll hear the story of the Bomber Command. Later, we visit historic Lincoln with its famous Cathedral and Castle before we tuck into dinner at the hotel.

  5. Day 5 RAF Cosford and National Memorial Arboretum

    On day five, we travel West across England to RAF Cosford. Here, we take a look at the original bombers before continuing to the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. This expansive woodland area honours those fallen during their service to Britain. After, we depart for Leamington Spa and our hotel for the evening, where the balance of the day is your own to spend at your own leisure.

  6. Day 6 Bletchley Park, Swiss Garden and Winchester

    Today, we uncover a hidden gem of England, Bletchley Park. This charming historic house was once the central site for British codebreakers during the Second World War, and where British hero Alan Turing famously broke the enigma code alongside his colleagues. Books and films have been set around this intriguing location which was the birthplace of modern information technology. After lunch, we visit the Swiss Garden and the Shuttleworth Collection at Brooklands - one of the most prestigious in the world, before heading to the cathedral city of Winchester and our overnight hotel.

  7. Day 7 Dorset and the Bovington Tank Museum

    The tour is not over yet, as we still have many sights to explore. First, we drive South to the Dorset coastline to see the Fleet Lagoon and the Weymouth Black Down before heading to the Bovington Tank Museum, complete with a vast array of tanks from the last one hundred years. Afterwards, we are invited to a guided tour with access to a MKIV WWI tank that you can climb inside.

  8. Day 8 Portsmouth HMS Victory and Submarine Museum

    On our penultimate day, we head for England’s scenic South Coast as we turn our sights to the harbour city of Portsmouth, once one of England’s most important naval cities. Here we head for the famous Historic Dockyard which is home to a number of key historic sea vessels including the HMS Victory, best known as Lord Nelson’s flagship and immortalised during the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. Afterwards, we travel the short distance to the D-Day Museum and have the rare opportunity to meet an RAF veteran who will share their experience during the British legion. Our hotel this evening is located in Portsmouth close to the famous sea-front.

  9. Day 9 Tangmere Airfield and Spitfires at Biggin Hill

    Waking up for our final day of the tour, we drive back to London. But before we say our goodbyes, we have time to visit the Military Aviation Museum at the Tangmere Airfield; an operational RAF fighter station for forty years from 1918, today the site hosts one of the UK’s leading aviation museums and several authentic aircraft as well as simulator experiences. Our final stop at the Biggin Hill Hangar allows us to see the remarkable restored Spitfire Aircraft, a fitting end to our intriguing tour of England’s wartime history. We continue to London where our tour ends.
